Lisa S. Gorrell is a Certified Genealogist who teaches about genealogy to societies, adult schools, and her own business, Applied Genealogy Institute. Since retiring from BART after 32 years as a train operator and train operator instructor, she has volunteered at the History Center Archives answering queries, creating finding aids, and maintaining the library. She has been a member of the Board since 2014 and is currently the Recording Secretary.
