Membership with the Contra Costa County Historical Society puts you in a community of engaged citizens that believe in our mission of preserving and protecting the records and heritage of Contra Costa County.

Our members are actively involved with documenting the County’s dynamic history, researching family heritage, maintaining access to the vital records and historical documents of this extremely diverse county. Your membership ensures a seat at the table with our records, our researchers, and even provides for a 10% discount on all book sales.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Contra Costa County Historical Society is a volunteer-driven organization. All our dedicated volunteers selflessly donate their time and talent to support our organization.

We are always looking for talented individuals with a wide range of skills to share their experiences, abilities, and education with us as we fulfill our mission to preserve and protect the history and culture of Contra Costa County.
