Contra Costa County Historical Society: Special 50% Off Membership Drive
Martinez, CA, March 1, 2025 - To celebrate Contra Costa County’s 175th anniversary, the Contra Costa County Historical Society (CCCHS) is holding a 50% off membership drive from March 1 to May 1. This special offer is available to the first 50 new members who enroll using special code DRIVE25. Membership applications may be found online at www.cocohistory.org or obtained in person at the CCCHS History Center, 724 Escobar Street, Martinez, California. The History Center is open from 9am to 4pm Tuesday-Thursday and 10am to 2pm on the first and third Saturdays of the month.
The History Center contains the archives for the county and is open to its members and the general public during regular business hours and by special appointment during non-business hours. The History Center houses many collections including court case files, property tax records, rare maps, superior court records, naturalization records, newspapers and newspaper clippings, photographs, and other special collections. The oldest documents in the collection date to the1850s at the time the county was formed.
